I’ve always adored English floral plates, but as a mom of four, I knew investing in delicate heirloom china wasn’t practical. One day, I searched for melamine plates with an English cottage style, hoping for something durable yet beautiful—and was shocked to find there was nothing out there. That’s when the idea for Somerset Lane was born.

I spent nearly a year working with an incredible designer and partners around the world to bring this vision to life. It became a true family affair—my kids helped choose colors, test samples, and offer their very enthusiastic opinions. And when we finally launched, we were overwhelmed (in the best way!) by the response.
